Relay Accessories

Relay accessories are devices available for the support in design and the maintenance of relays in electrical circuits. This includes auxiliary contact blocks, busbars, mounting adapters, relay covers, interfaces, sockets, clips and labels.
Auxiliary contact blocks are available in a number of configurations including DIN rail. These provide a breakout for the signals presented to the relay and used for testing. They may be plugged in between the connector and the relay or may be plugged in instead of the relay. A variant of this device is the time relay auxiliary contact block. These have an integrated delay timer and on on/off switch used to delay relay enabling in power distribution systems. This prevents sparks occurring in open contacts as a relay is being inserted or removed.
Busbars are configured as jumper links and bridge bars. They are available for providing high current shorts across relay connections. They are usually configured in break off strips of connection pairs, but may also be a handled test instrument. A bridgebar is a short compatible with standard sockets. They may have an LED indicator for power flow, and a test button integrated.
Mounting adapters provide adaption between standard socket types. Relay covers provide for extra safety and environmental protection. Sockets are available for relay mounting in a number of configurations including DIN rail and PCB soldering styles. Clips are used for securing the relay in the connector and labels for standard signal types and safety warnings are available.
