How does it work?
3rd Generation Intel Xeon scalable processors deliver up to 40 cores and 3200 MT/s memory. PCIe Gen4 and Intel Software Guard Extension (SGX) support the dual-socket segment. All this allows the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus server to deliver premium compute, memory (optional Intel Optane persistent memory), I/O and security capabilities. The server also supports industry-standard OCP 3.0 network adapters, giving customers more choice. Tri-mode controllers supporting NVMe/SAS/SATA drives enhance storage capabilities, allowing customers to select the ideal media type and mix for their exact application. Customers get a choice of storage backplanes and cages, diverse bay counts, protocol and bandwidth that supports server storage design for precise needs.
Systems also feature Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel VROC), integrated (hardware and software) that improves storage performance, lowers cost and reduces power requirements. This eliminates the need for an external hardware RAID card for workloads, such as VMware VSAN, ESXI, databases and Network Edge. Intel VROC Integrated RAID also supports M.2 boot solution, providing peace-of-mind O/S deployment while saving invaluable slots and storage bays.
